NOTICE: INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
The UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY (UTA) is requesting bids from responsive, responsible persons or firms to furnish and install Storage Equipment for the Parts Room at the Jordan River Service Center (JRSC).
All correspondence or questions of any kind, and requests for bid packages concerning this IFB shall be directed in writing to the Grants and Contracts Administrator, Mr. Gregg Larsen, UTA, 669 West 200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. Email: glarsen@rideuta.com. No fax bids shall be considered. Mr. Larsen is the only authorized UTA contact during the procurement phase. Contacting other UTA personnel during this phase could result in disqualification. Mr. Larsen will return the bid package by email to all those requesting it from him in writing, therefore an email address is required.
The successful bidder shall be required to include in the bid price all labor, all subcontracting costs, freight to destination and unloading as applicable, equipment, supervision, overhead, incidentals, project materials, profit, etc.
A mandatory site visit will be held on July 27 at 9:00 a.m. at the JRSC located at 900 W 2200 S, South Salt Lake, Utah. Park south of the building and enter the south door.
Sealed bids marked “JRSC Parts Room Storage Equipment Contract UT10-013GL” on the outside of the envelope should be sent in one (1) original marked to the attention of Mr. Larsen, at the UTA address shown above and received by 2:00 p.m. MDT on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. It is the responsibility of the bidder to see that their bid is delivered to the designated place by the designated time. Any bid received thereafter shall be rejected.
Issuance of this notice does not commit UTA to award any contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a response, or to procure or contract for services or supplies. UTA reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities and informalities, to reject any and all bids for sound business reasons, to re-advertise and to make contract awards in the best interest of UTA.
The contractor shall be required to comply with all applicable equal employment laws and regulations. UTA will not discriminate against any interested firm or persons on the basis of race, color, sex, age or national origin in the review of qualifications or contract award.
